Snapcraft has the very handy `promote` subcommand which allows to promote the revision which is in a particular channel to another one, e.g. for snaps we can do
snapcraft promote ams --from-channel=1.15/candidate --to-channel=1.15/stable
to promote what is currently in the `1.15/candidate` channel to `1.15/stable` without having to manually figure out the exact revision and handing it to `charmcraft release --revision=...`.
It would be nice if charmcraft can add a `promote` subcommand to make this more convenient.
