Current evaluation

Enable part_build_subdir in LifecycleService for Ubuntu 27.04+ bases, pending craft-parts PR #1652 merge. No maintainer response yet.

Suggested action: needs triage

Reason: The issue has no labels, no assignee, and zero maintainer comments after 45 days. It is blocked by craft-parts#1652 which is still open, so it cannot be acted upon until that PR merges. A maintainer should label it as blocked_by and assign it for follow-up once the dependency resolves.

Issue body

### What needs to get done Once this PR is merged: https://github.com/canonical/craft-parts/pull/1652 For future bases (Ubuntu 27.04+), we will configure the lifecycle manager to use the build subdir rather than the build directory. ### Why it needs to get done This is a load-bearing bug in craft parts that we should eliminate in the long term.
