fix(errors): reformat plugin build error output
Metadata
Current evaluation
Merged #1012 as f47837ad, reworking plugin build-error capture and formatting so Python plugin failures retain useful output; fixes #1000.
Resolution: closed resolved
Reason: PR #1012 was merged as commit f47837ad and explicitly states that it fixes #1000. The change captures and reformats build errors so relevant plugin stderr and final traced lines are displayed.

Issue body
In case of Python plugin build errors, print error messages to stderr
instead of stdout so they can be captured and properly displayed to the
user. Don't start printing from the last script execution trace line because
messages printed to stderr appear before the traced `exit` line.
