### Bug Description
[Reported against Snapcraft too.](https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapcraft/+bug/2093417)
Snapcraft 8.5.1, executed with 'snapcraft --debug --verbosity=trace --use-lxd', refuses to build
snap.
As per the [log]([snapcraft-20250110-124055.440505.log](https://github.com/user-attachments/files/18376384/snapcraft-20250110-124055.440505.log)), seems to try the same thing multiple times and then give up.
