Current evaluation

Fixed by PR #162 (commits 85baf0e/a75a269), preserving existing artifact types so downloaded DEBs retain application/vnd.debian.binary-package instead of an empty value.

Resolution: closed resolved

Reason: Closed as fixed by merged PR #162. Commit 85baf0e, also mirrored as a75a269, prevents metadata handling from overwriting an existing artifact type, restoring the Debian binary-package MIME type.

Issue body

### Bug Description The `type` entry for the metadata for a downloaded deb now is an empty string. Using the snap from the current `beta` channel, the metadata for the `hello` package looks like: ``` { 'architecture': 'amd64', 'author': '', 'author-email': 'Ubuntu Developers <ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com>', 'description': 'Example package based on GNU hello', 'license': 'GFDL-1.3+ and/or GPL-3+', 'name': 'hello', 'sha1': 'd8c1f9634007b54c1e9aa3ba3b51395b643933c3', 'sha256': '750335248ccc68d07397e2b843d94fd1a164ddeca23892ca8398b5d528cd89eb', 'size': 26600, 'type': '', 'vendor': 'Ubuntu Developers <ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com>', 'version': '2.10-2ubuntu4' } ``` I suspect this has to do with [this](https://github.com/canonical/fetch-service/commit/2a0b84e9eefaa61e3706cdd883c5d6584b958265) refactoring, because the artefact's metadata type is overwritten even if the other metadata type field [is blank](https://github.com/canonical/fetch-service/blob/main/metadata/artefact.go#L94) ### To Reproduce Set up the fetch service and do `apt install hello` ### Relevant log output ```shell n/a ```
