Current evaluation

Feature request to add support for missing OCI pre-defined annotations (authors, url, documentation, source, revision, vendor, base.name) via new rockcraft.yaml fields. Author labels it a 'nice to have'.

Suggested action: needs triage

Reason: This is a new, unlabelled feature request with no maintainer response or labels yet. A contributor (@navyabijoy) expressed interest in working on it, but the issue has not been triaged or prioritized. The request is clear about which annotations to add and references the OCI spec, but being labeled a 'nice to have' by the author suggests lower priority.

Issue body

### Check existing issues - [x] I've verified that this request isn't described by any existing issues. ### Request The OpenContainers Image specification outlines several pre-defined annotation keys: https://specs.opencontainers.org/image-spec/annotations/#pre-defined-annotation-keys. Some of these annotations are already populated by rockcraft, as mentioned in #908 ```bash "annotations": { "org.opencontainers.image.base.digest": "19d5218d4475ed6af714d9ea9aeff3ce57fcf90e93b062a587f5d183eddeddd9", "org.opencontainers.image.created": "...", "org.opencontainers.image.description": "...", "org.opencontainers.image.ref.name": "...", "org.opencontainers.image.title": "...", "org.opencontainers.image.version": "..." } ``` however there are several annotations missing: ``` org.opencontainers.image.authors org.opencontainers.image.url org.opencontainers.image.documentation org.opencontainers.image.source org.opencontainers.image.revision org.opencontainers.image.vendor org.opencontainers.image.base.name ``` I am writing this issue to request support for specifying these annotations via fields in rockcraft.yaml file. Some of these can be mapped from existing fields (e.g. base.name -> `base`, source -> `source-code`), but others (vendor, documentation) may need new fields ### The problem it solves No specific problem, just casually reporting. Is a "nice to have"
