Current evaluation

Rockcraft already supported --debug via merged PR #224 (ffb57d58); the reporter had an outdated install, and both top-level and pack invocation forms work.

Resolution: closed resolved

Reason: Debug support had already been implemented by merged PR canonical/rockcraft#224 in commit ffb57d58. The maintainer confirmed both `rockcraft --debug` and `rockcraft pack --debug` work, and the reporter identified the discrepancy as likely caused by an old installation.

Issue body

`charmcraft pack --debug` drops you in a shell in the build environment on failures and is really helpful for general debugging. It would be great to enable the same thing in `rockcraft` wherever an analogous experience makes sense Thanks!
