Issue body

It seems that when Snapcraft is building in the Multipass environment it injects the snaps in the host directly into the build VM without downloading them from the Snap Store. However, when using LXD (--use-lxd) to build it isn't doing the same, which will make the build relatively longer. I would like to ask to make the LXD experience similar as in Multipass.
