In a snap with the following assumes section in snapcraft.yaml:
assumes:
- snapd2.59.3
snapcraft creates the snap successfully, but inspecting it shows that there is no "assumes" in the meta/snap.yaml file.
This is happening with snapcraft 7.3.1. This seems to happen when base is core22 but not when it is core20.
