Current evaluation

Fixed by merged canonical/snapcraft#859 (commit e44e634f6), which set GOBIN in the Go plugin build environment so binaries install within Snapcraft parts.

Resolution: closed resolved

Reason: The proposed fix in canonical/snapcraft#859 was merged as commit e44e634f6, setting GOBIN in the Go plugin build environment to isolate builds from user settings.

Issue body

Quite similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapcraft/+bug/1553056, GOPATH and GOBIN (I only thought about the first one at first) will make sources and binaries built and installed outside of our snapcraft parts. We should isolate from the user's setup to have a better build/debug/fix cycle (and not always relying on cleanbuild).
