Resolution: closed resolved

Reason: Commit 4f87398b0 introduced the dedicated Ruby plugin as the supported packaging approach. A maintainer later confirmed that the plugin existed and had previously identified this report as a duplicate of #1583667.

Issue body

Building a snap that runs a ruby shell script fails to run. Steps to reproduce: 1. Write hello world ruby application 2. Create a snap to include that shell script + ruby as a Debian package 3. Create and install snap 4. The installed snap will produce the following error: <internal:gem_prelude>:4:in `require': cannot load such file -- rubygems.rb (LoadError) from <internal:gem_prelude>:4:in `<internal:gem_prelude>' What I have tried: * Running `ruby -v` works * Running `ruby hello_world.rb` fails * Running `hello_world.rb` fails I will attach the following: * snapcraft.yaml * hello_world.rb * snap build log
