dump plugin cannot copy a single file
Metadata
Current evaluation
Resolved by maintainer explaining that single-file copying is supported via core organize and snap options, not a plugin-specific feature.
Resolution: closed not a bug
Reason: Maintainer @kyrofa clarified that the functionality is already supported using core snapcraft options (organize and snap) instead of plugin-specific options, which is why the copy plugin was deprecated in favor of dump.

Issue body
The copy plugin is being deprecated, but it was useful for copying individual files e.g.
assets:
source: git://github.com/ubuntu-core/identity-vault
plugin: copy
files:
settings.yaml: data/settings.yaml
This does not seem to be possible with the dump plugin.
