Current evaluation

Closed as stale after 60 days of inactivity. A Go dependency required Go 1.7, and a project-specific recipe using the go1.7.5 snap provided a workaround; no Snapcraft fix was linked.

Resolution: closed stale

Reason: Launchpad maintainer ~janitor auto-closed the report on 2017-08-12 after 60 days without activity. Maintainers confirmed that Go 1.7 was required and demonstrated a snapcraft.yaml workaround using the go1.7.5 snap, but no resolving PR or commit was recorded.

Issue body

I have a few projects which build in launchpad. One has no changes upstream but stopped building yesterday. https://code.launchpad.net/~popey/+junk/slack-term-master It fails in launchpad, on my local 16.04 laptop running 2.29 deb and 2.30+git14.556c92e snap and on my laptop doing cleanbuild. go get -t -d ./github.com/erroneousboat/slack-term/... package context: unrecognized import path "context" (import path does not begin with hostname) Command '['/bin/sh', '/tmp/tmpwaymvvo0', 'go', 'get', '-t', '-d', './github.com/erroneousboat/slack-term/...']' returned non-zero exit status 1. Success on 4th June:- https://code.launchpad.net/~popey/+snap/slack-term-master/+build/42942/+files/buildlog_snap_ubuntu_xenial_amd64_slack-term-master_BUILDING.txt.gz Failure on 5th June:- https://code.launchpad.net/~popey/+snap/slack-term-master/+build/43162/+files/buildlog_snap_ubuntu_xenial_amd64_slack-term-master_BUILDING.txt.gz Not limited to just this project.
