Current evaluation

Closed as a non-issue: Snapcraft omits the app suffix when snap and app names match; renaming the snap produced the documented Exec=somethingelse.kbruch %U.

Resolution: closed not a bug

Reason: In the closing 2019-03-29 discussion, maintainer ~cmatsuoka demonstrated that matching names produce Exec=kbruch %U, while a different snap name produces Exec=somethingelse.kbruch %U. The reporter agreed the behavior matched the documentation, so no code change was made.

Issue body

According to https://docs.snapcraft.io/the-snap-format/698 the Exec line of desktop files should be in the form $snap.$app. Snapcraft apparently doesn't mangle desktop files it picks up via `apps.$app.desktop` or appstream magic though. Example https://github.com/apachelogger/snap-appstreamtest ``` ➜ grep Exec prime/meta/gui/kbruch.desktop Exec=kbruch %U ```
