Current evaluation

Snapcraft may strip GNU build IDs while PatchELF rewrites binaries, reportedly crashing Mesa's i965_dri.so; no-patchelf works around it, but the untriaged report lacks confirmation.

Suggested action: needs triage

Reason: The report identifies a concrete Mesa i965_dri.so crash and links a workaround PR, but provides no affected Snapcraft or base version, logs, or minimal reproducer. With no labels, comments, or maintainer response, and current code only showing build-ID parsing rather than proving preservation, the old report needs reassessment rather than closure based on age.

Issue body

New versions of Snapcraft appear to strip the build ID from installed or compiled binaries. This caused the i965_dri.so mesa driver to crash, as it apparently relies on a build-id for caching. Adding `build-attributes: [no-patchelf]` appears to fix the problem. More details here: https://github.com/MirServer/egmde-snap/pull/3
