Current evaluation

Closed as a packaging/build-host mismatch: maintainers cited the wrong base snap, wrong build OS, or destructive mode, not a Snapcraft defect.

Resolution: closed not a bug

Reason: Maintainer ~ogra said affected packagers must use appropriate bases/build environments; ~sergiusens also suggested --destructive-mode or an old Snapcraft. No resolving PR or commit was identified.

Issue body

There are a couple related bugs about glibc issues involving the `core` snap. See below for a list. I don't know if these are bugs in the snaps using them, or in the snap core, or whatever, but as there are so many of them I thought it might have to do with snap. (Even if not, this bug report might serve others with the same problem in finding out how to resolve it.) > Error: /snap/core/current/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.29' not found (required by /tmp/jwbayK/node_modules/better-sqlite3/build/Release/better_sqlite3.node) (https://github.com/JoshuaWise/better-sqlite3/issues/403) > /snap/code/25/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders: /snap/core/current/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.27' not found (required by /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libffmpeg.so) > /snap/code/25/usr/share/code/bin/../code: /snap/core/current/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.27' not found (required by /usr/lib/chromium-browser/libffmpeg.so) (https://askubuntu.com/q/1213484) > version `GLIBC_2.27' not found (required by /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libssh.so.4) > version `GLIBC_2.25' not found (required by /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libssh.so.4) > (...)
