Progressive release stops showing metrics when set to 100% target
Metadata
Current evaluation
snapcraft status hides progressive-release metrics once a release hits 100% (store nullifies percentage). Store-side API now returns progressive.current-percentage for all releases; client still only renders it for in-progress progressive releases.
Suggested action: keep open
Reason: Still unfixed: snapcraft/store/channel_map.py get_mapped_channel() filters on `cm.progressive.percentage is not None`, and snapcraft/commands/status.py only builds a progress string for that 'progressive' mapped channel, falling back to `_HINTS.NO_PROGRESS` otherwise — so a 100% (nullified) release renders '-'. Maxiberta and suligap confirmed the store API change ('progressive.current-percentage' for all releases) shipped to production in June 2021, so the remaining work is entirely client-side and the fix location is pinpointed (mr-cal even linked the conditional at client.py#L374 / PR #3306). The issue is clearly triaged with maintainer acknowledgement, and the last exchange (suligap asking mr-cal 'Where do you think the problem is?') is unanswered, leaving only a minor display-design question about what a non-progressive release's progress column should show.

keep open | snapcraft status hides progressive-release metrics once target is 100%, because status.py only renders progress when progressive.percentage is non-null. Store already returns current-percentage for all releases since 2021; awaiting a CLI fix. | |
