Current evaluation

Feature request: conda plugin exposes only conda-packages/conda-python-version/conda-miniconda-version and has no way to add channels (e.g. conda-forge), so packages from custom channels cannot be installed

Suggested action: needs triage

Reason: Verified against the code: CondaPluginProperties only defines conda_packages, conda_python_version and conda_miniconda_version, and _get_deploy_command() builds `conda create --prefix ... --yes python=X <packages>` with no `-c`/`--channel` argument, so the reported gap is real. git history for conda_plugin.py shows only arch/typing/rebase commits since the plugin was introduced (d24c02121, latest e51640488) — no channel support was ever added. However the issue has zero labels, zero comments and no maintainer response (last activity ~5.5 years ago), so it has never been triaged or prioritized; it is also phrased as a how-do-I question, and there is an undocumented workaround (passing '-c conda-forge' through the conda-packages list, since packages are appended verbatim to the conda create command), which makes the desired scope slightly ambiguous and needs maintainer confirmation on whether a new conda-channels key is wanted.

Issue body

source of this bug: https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/the-conda-plugin/12530 by hovakim_grabski It is an awesome plugin, thanks. But how do you install a package using conda that is on a custom channel? For example, you want to add a package that is available on conda-forge ( conda install -c conda-forge hypothesis)?
