Temporary repo for snapcraft remote-build has no git tags
Metadata
Current evaluation
Fixed in Snapcraft 8.0.0's new remote builder; PR #4482 added tag pushing in commit 21f6ad788, preserving Git-tag-based versioning.
Resolution: closed resolved
Reason: The maintainer confirmed that Snapcraft 8's new remote builder no longer deletes and recreates the source Git repository. Commit 21f6ad788 explicitly pushes tags for remote builds, addressing the missing-tag failure.

Issue body
I have a snap which uses `snapcraftctl set-version` to set its version from the latest Git tag. The `snapcraft remote-build` fails to get the tag and set the right version. This is because the temporary remote source repo created and used for the build has no tags.
Note that this is NOT a problem when the version is taken using `version: git` in snapcraft.yml. In that case, remote build reads the git tag before sending the build data to Launchpad.
The `snapcraft remote-build` first sends the build data to Launchpad by creating a temporary repository and using it to build the snap:
```
$ snapcraft remote-build
snapcraft remote-build is experimental and is subject to change - use with caution.
All data sent to remote builders will be publicly available. Are you sure you want to continue? [Y/n]: Y
