Reason: Maintainers have triaged and diagnosed it: ~jugmac00 replied 'Thanks for the report... Pulling 6.5 GiB might be the reason', and ~enriqueesanchz concluded 'During this copy the proxy timeouts and kills all processes', with ~lengau forwarding details upstream. The problem is real, unresolved (no last activity since 2025-07-15 and no resolving commit in the snapcraft history — no proxy/download-timeout related changes found), and workarounds (override-pull wget | xz | tar, or raising timeouts) are not a fix. Confidence is limited because the root cause lives in Launchpad build infra and in craft-download rather than this repo (no download/urllib code found here), and no RISC-V staging builder was available for reproduction ('qastaging.launchpad.net/ does not have RiscV in the list of options').
