### What needs to get done Not sure as of now. ### Why it needs to get done As per <https://github.com/canonical/craft-parts/blob/5620314d17432d98f22cb62ee40c1180510e19a9/craft_parts/sources/base.py#L301> it isn't implemented yet, however, there're some software where [its source archive is provided only via FTP links](https://dhis.org/WebEngine.ipo?context=dhis.website.updating.howtos#CT1) so we should really have it implemented.
