in travis, the docker container is not getting the environment variables
Metadata
Current evaluation
Fixed Travis CI Docker environment propagation by passing host values with Docker -e arguments in canonical/snapcraft#1125 (commit 44834f539).
Resolution: closed resolved
Reason: Merged PR #1125 corrected the Travis Docker environment-variable syntax so store integration tests receive required secrets and use real store services.

Issue body
We run our tests in travis using a docker xenial container. We need to pass some secrets through environment variables, but we are using the wrong syntax so they are never getting to the container.
The right syntax is something like:
-e ENV_VAR=$ENV_VAR
We currently have -e ENV_VAR.
