Current evaluation

Ruby plugin support shipped via merged PR #1544 and Snapcraft 8.14; earlier PR #1365 closed unmerged.

Resolution: closed resolved

Reason: PR #1544 was merged, adding the Ruby plugin in commits 4f87398b0 and 1f28e8ece. Snapcraft 8.14 documents it for Ruby applications on core22 and higher.

Issue body

Need a ruby plugin to pull, build, and install ruby binary. It would be nice if the plugin had options that allowed a user to specify gems and/or a Gemfile. (In the works https://github.com/snapcore/snapcraft/pull/1365)
