Issue body

I'm using multipass to build with snapcraft 3.0 from candidate. ---------------------------------------------------- Skipping build config (already ran) Skipping build java (already ran) Failed to reuse files from previous run: The 'build' step of 'jenkins' is out of date: The 'install' part property appears to have changed. To continue, clean that part's 'build' step by running `snapcraft clean jenkins -s build`. Run the same command again with --debug to shell into the environment if you wish to introspect this failure. An error occurred when trying to execute 'snapcraft snap' with 'multipass': returned exit code 2. ---------------------------------------------------- Ok, so let's do that... ---------------------------------------------------- alan@hal:~/Temp/jenkins$ snapcraft clean jenkins -s build Build providers are still not feature complete, specifying parts or a step name is not yet supported. ---------------------------------------------------- WAT. Don't tell me to do stuff that doesn't work yet please :) So I end up doing.. ---------------------------------------------------- alan@hal:~/Temp/jenkins$ snapcraft clean alan@hal:~/Temp/jenkins$ snapcraft ---------------------------------------------------- All works, but takes longer, of course

stealth/space-bunny-alpha — closed stale Closed as stale after no follow-up. Snapcraft 3.0 with Multipass recommended a part/step-specific clean command that its build provider did not support.
stealth/space-bunny-alpha — closed stale Closed without a documented fix. Snapcraft #2442 (commit 5546c3aab) enabled cleaning of parts, but no closing link to this report is recorded.
qwen/qwen3.6-35b-a3b — — Abandoned. Closed without resolution. The conflicting snapcraft clean command advice remains unaddressed.
qwen/qwen3.6-35b-a3b — — Closed without a fix. Snapcraft incorrectly advised running snapcraft clean with part and step flags, which were unsupported. The author worked around it with a full clean. The report appears abandoned or superseded by later updates.
qwen/qwen3.6-35b-a3b — — Closed without discussion. The conflicting clean command guidance was abandoned or superseded as newer snapcraft versions resolved build provider limitations.
qwen3.6-35b-a3b-mtp-q6 — — Closed without resolution. The conflicting snapcraft clean advice for multipass was likely abandoned or superseded by updated build provider features. Users must run a full clean instead of targeting specific parts or steps.
