login still promots for username and password when using SNAPCRAFT_STORE_CREDENTIALS
Metadata
Current evaluation
Closed as a usage misunderstanding: SNAPCRAFT_STORE_CREDENTIALS authenticates Snapcraft commands without running `snapcraft login`; no code fix was needed.
Resolution: closed not a bug
Reason: The reporter’s closing comment on 2022-06-14 says, “Ah, nevermind, I see that login is not needed if SNAPCRAFT_STORE_CREDENTIALS is set.” This confirms the behavior was working as designed, with no resolving PR or commit identified.

Issue body
$ snapcraft version
snapcraft 7.0.2
If I set SNAPCRAFT_STORE_CREDENTIALS to have the exported login credential from snapcraft export-login, and then run login, ie
$ export SNAPCRAFT_STORE_CREDENTIALS ...
$ snapcraft login
I still get prompted for username and password and it exits with code 1.
snapcraft whoami does show though that I am logged in
$ snapcraft whoami

| #1748802 `snapcraft login` authentication failure message could be friendlier | snapcraft (launchpad) | closed | Fixed by merged PR snapcore/snapcraft#1936 (commit 688588a0d), which made the store API surface server-supplied error text, so login failures now read "Authentication error: Failed to get unbound discharge: Provided email/password is not correct." | |
| #1791879 snapcraft reports invalid credentials after successful login (new account) | snapcraft (launchpad) | closed | Closed as not a bug: the 2018-09-11 comment identified using `snap login` instead of `snapcraft login` as the cause, and the reporter marked the issue invalid. | |
| #5000 WSL2: Cannot use `$SNAPCRAFT_STORE_CREDENTIALS` for login | snapcraft | closed | Credential login worked again after updated Windows, WSL2, Ubuntu, Snap, and Snapcraft components; the reporter closed the report as no longer reproducible, with no linked fix. | |
