Current evaluation

Snapcraft 7.3.1 dropped project-provided assumes from meta/snap.yaml (hit core22 builds and Docker). Fixed by snapcore/snapcraft PR #4152 (commit 36dca729e); reporter confirmed working in 7.3.2.

Resolution: closed resolved

Reason: Resolved upstream by snapcore/snapcraft#4152, commit 36dca729e 'meta: include project provided assumes in snapd.yaml', which merges project-level assumes into the generated snap.yaml (now handled in snapcraft/meta/snap_yaml.py). Maintainer sergiusens noted the fix shipped in 7.3.2 on latest/candidate, and reporter alfonsosanchezbeato confirmed7.3.2 works as expected before closing.

Issue body

In a snap with the following assumes section in snapcraft.yaml: assumes:   - snapd2.59.3 snapcraft creates the snap successfully, but inspecting it shows that there is no "assumes" in the meta/snap.yaml file. This is happening with snapcraft 7.3.1. This seems to happen when base is core22 but not when it is core20.
